Cancellation Policy

Boat rental in Mallorca

At Sail & Protect, we understand that unexpected situations may arise. Our cancellation policy is designed to provide transparency and flexibility for our clients while ensuring the proper organization of our experiences, the availability of our vessels, and the management costs associated with each booking.

Cancellations by the Customer

More than 15 days before the experience date

The amount paid will be refunded, less a 10% booking management fee.

This fee covers booking administration, processing, and management services that have already been carried out and is therefore non-refundable.

15 days or less before the experience date

No refund will be issued for any amounts paid.

Cancellations by Sail & Protect

If Sail & Protect is unable to provide the booked experience due to reasons beyond the company’s control, such as adverse weather conditions, external restrictions, force majeure, or any other circumstances that prevent the service from being carried out safely, the customer will be offered one of the following options:

  • Reschedule the experience to another date at no additional cost, subject to availability.
  • Enjoy the experience on a similar vessel, subject to availability.
  • If neither of the above options is possible, the amount paid will be refunded, less a 10% booking management fee.

Cancellations Due to Reasons Attributable to Sail & Protect

If the experience cannot take place due to a reason directly attributable to Sail & Protect, such as a vessel breakdown, unexpected maintenance, or any other internal circumstance preventing the contracted service from being provided, the customer may choose between:

  • Rescheduling the experience to another date at no additional cost, subject to availability.
  • Receiving a full refund of all amounts paid, with no deductions.

Booking Modifications

Requests to change the booking date must be made at least 15 days before the scheduled experience and are subject to availability.

If the requested change results in a price difference, the customer will be required to pay the applicable amount.

Requests submitted 15 days or less before the scheduled experience may be declined by Sail & Protect without any entitlement to a refund.

Weather Conditions

The safety of our guests and crew is our highest priority. The final decision regarding whether an experience will proceed, be modified, or be cancelled rests exclusively with the captain or an authorized Sail & Protect representative.

If weather conditions do not allow for safe navigation, customers will be offered the opportunity to reschedule the experience at no additional cost, subject to availability.

Light rain, cloudy weather, moderate wind, or other conditions that, in the captain’s judgment, still allow for safe navigation shall not constitute valid grounds for cancellation or a refund.

No-Show Policy

Failure to arrive at the agreed location, date, and time without prior notice will result in the forfeiture of all amounts paid, with no right to a refund or rescheduling.

Exceptional Circumstances

Sail & Protect may, at its sole discretion, consider requests for cancellations or booking modifications outside the established deadlines. Any exception granted shall not constitute a precedent or create any obligation with respect to future bookings.

By confirming a booking, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted this Cancellation Policy.
